Individually Tailored Nonprofit Internship

The core of the Internship Program is an individually tailored nonprofit internship at a host organization for individuals from Japan who are interested in socially responsible careers and who have the potential to be leaders in the newly developing nonprofit sector in Japan. Participants can choose one of the three themes as their focus for 2001fs program:

3. Nonprofit-Corporate Dynamics

Congruent with the mission of JUCEE and the goals of this program which include bidirectional learning experiences are the following key components designed for internship success:

2) Intern & Host Pre-Internship Joint Workshop

4) Monitoring Interviews

5) Intern Exchange Day
To strengthen and increase their understanding of the Bay Area's nonprofit sector and activities, interns will visit one another's host organizations.

6) Evaluation Session & Farewell Party
The evaluation session allows both interns and host representatives to share experiences, challenges and success stories with the group as well as with the JUCEE staff.

7) Public Forum
In each program, participants are given the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and ideas on a particular social issue that is of common concern to both the U.S. and Japan.
