We are a group of film students, semi-professionals and friends from different schools and backgrounds, putting our skills together to make an indie low budget short film. We seek a talented group of people to be our cast. Experience preferred but not necessary.
CAST LIST
CHARACTERS:
1 Karen - Age: Mid-thirties to forty - Race: Chinese - Role: Lead (main character) - Character: A strong woman who has been through poo. Has a world-weary look, though she often puts on a smile to mask her disappointments. She
looks warm and radiant when she smiles, but tired and anguished when she doesn't.
2 Robert - Age: Thirty-ish to forty - Race: Chinese - Character: Strong, silent type. Has broad reliable shoulders, and has
a comforting presence-voice
3 Hospice Supervisor - Age: 20s and above - Race: No preference - Character: A kind-looking woman.
4 Karen's Mom - Age: Sixty-ish - Race: Chinese - Character: Understanding and matronly.
5 Karen's Aunt - Age: Mid-fifties - Race: Chinese - Character: She looks like a regular office lady who is past her prime, always in on the latest gossip.
6 Karen's Uncle - Age: Mid-fifties - Race: Chinese - Character: Looks wise beyond his years.
7 Jimmy - Age: Twenty-plus - Race: Chinese - Character: A fresh grad type that is just starting into real life. Reveals a little residual teenage awkwardness
8 Cindy - Age: Late Teens-Twenty-plus - Race: Chinese - Character: Ditzy and a little naive, but ultimately kind at heart.
9 Buddhist Monk - No chanting required as pre-recorded. - Age: Late Thirties to Seventies - Race: Chinese - Naturally Bald but (not) necessary

We would also like to invite people with the following training to submit their works for consideration.
1. Director of Photography. (Shooting format: DV or HDv) - Lights, tracks, equipment provided. 2. Make up artist - Please bring before & after photographs (StudentsStudents on valid study visa may apply) 3. buttistant Producer- Experienced in Handling Cast and Extras on at least one project of this size. 4. Sound Recordist - We have recording equipment except for wireless mics
