Following the furore over the recent opening of the 'Hitler's Cross' restaurant in plantay, I thought it would be interesting to share this news item from the West Yorkshire town of Grimmclogge.....
The Grimmclogge Evening Telegraph 23rd August:
Controversy has erupted following the recent opening of the Grimmclogge's latest restaurant, 'Ghandi's Pantry' (writes Special Correspondent, Ivor Gottergrudge)
Hitler's PizzaDoD You should. Abba Eban knew what the deal was. I find Israelis a lot more honest than American Jewry, actually...
There were angry scenes on the opening night as enraged members of the towns Hindu community demonstrated outside the establishment, calling it, "An affront to the memory of the Mahatma", while inside the restaurant, equally angry customers were complaining about the extremely small portions with which they were served.
"'Appen it's no'but a bloody disgrace!", stormed local Councillor, Fred Martinet who was there with Mrs Martinet to celebrate their wedding anniversary. "We came 'ere fer a reet good blowout - an' all we got were two small bowls o' bloody rice an' a lecture from a bloody Brahmin, wearin' a bloody silly home-made coat, about the evil of t' bloody British empire!!"

"Like any reet minded person, Ah'm all in favour of t' richness of bloody multicultural diversity - but this has gone bloody too far!", added Councillor Martinet, angrily.
It is understood that the Indian High Commissioner has now.made a formal protest to the Chairman of Grimmclogge borough council over the naming of the restaurant.
Meanwhile, Grimmeclogge police have so far attended several incidents outside Ghandi's Pantry, where kitchen staff from that establishment have clashed fiercely with employees of the adjacent Moghul Emperor take-away.
"I am unable at this stage to state whether these disturbances were racially motivated", commented Inspector Edwin Servile, of Grimmclogge CID.
